The conservative party have won the 12th December election by the largest majority (78 seats) since 1987, this is quite the feat for Boris Johnson but only the next few months will tell if this will help get Brexit done as per his statement election line. We will be following up

this news in the upcoming months with any relevant news which could impact the financial world. At present we look likely to leave the EU on the 31st of January with Boris's deal but this is not a done thing until we approach the later stages of January.


Markets have been wary of the transition period as Boris is keen to keep the cards firmly in his gasp when it comes to negotiations with the EU. It should be a eventful quarter 1 in 2020.
